EU: Aparthotel brand Adagio has outlined its 2024 openings including the launch of its coliving concept in the UK.
Over the last 12 months, Adagio has opened sites in France (Toulouse, Montpellier, Lyon) and Belgium (Antwerp, Ghent), as well as renovated some properties in Paris (Opéra, Buttes Chaumont, La Villette, Vanves Portes de Versailles and Eiffel Tower). Its accommodation capacity represents 14,626 apartments.
The company hosted 1.7 million customers across 130 aparthotels, with average occupancy rising to 79 per cent.
“These results underline the relevance of a renewed hotel offer, a hybrid offer – 100 per cent apartment, 100 per cent hotel – which corresponds to the needs of a balanced clientele. For example, to travel as a family at the best cost, and business travellers who may particularly desire the idea of feeling ‘at home’ away from home,” said Xavier Desaulles, CEO of Adagio.
Looking ahead, Adagio has a further five renovation projects planned and will open seven aparthotels in 2024. The company aims to reach 200 properties in 2028.
Upcoming openings include:
• L’Adagio Original – Porte de Camargue
• L’Adagio Original – Boulogne-Billancourt Kermen
• L’Adagio Access – Brussels – Airport
• L’Adagio Access – Rouen – Centre
• L’Adagio Original – Heidelberg
• L’Adagio Original – Abidjan Marcory
• L’Adagio Original – London – Whitechapel
After opening the first coliving space at the Adagio Original Paris Bercy, five coliving units will also launch at Adagio Original London Whitechapel. The units will provide four rooms around a common area including a kitchen and a shared lounge.
Across its portfolio, Adagio will continue to focus on ESG having deployed best practices to reduce energy consumption by 11 per cent. The ambition will be to obtain the Green Key label for 40 properties: 30 in France and 10 in Europe. The company will also re-evaluate its responsible purchasing policy and quality of life at work.
