Georgia: Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA has signed its first Georgian property with the signing of the Alliance Palace Aparthotel in Batumi.

The signing of the agreement follows the creation of Aimbridge’s new Eastern European office in Tbilisi, Georgia. The hotel is owned by Georgia-based developer Alliance Group.

Located on the shores of the Black Sea, the 41-storey Alliance Palace Aparthotel offers views of the coast, Batumi Old Town and the Caucasus Mountains.

The property offers three types of apartments — 32-square-metre studios, 45-square—metre one-bedroom units and family apartments of 66 square metres. All rooms have air conditioning, fully equipped kitchenettes and balconies.

The hotel features an all-day dining restaurant operated by Georgian chef Guram Bagdoshvili, which serves local specialties, Asian and Asian fusion cuisine and international dishes. Amenities include a business centre and wellness facilities.

Akaki Songulia, CEO and co-founder of Alliance Group, said: “By leveraging the strengths and expertise of both Alliance Group and Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA, the partnership will revolutionise the hospitality landscape of Georgia, creating a compelling and thriving environment for visitors, as well as business ventures. Alliance Group is excited to embark on this transformative journey with Aimbridge EMEA as we collectively redefine the tourism and hospitality experiences of this destination.”

Aimbridge divisional president David Anderson added: “Tourism to the region continues to surge as the travellers seek out exciting new experiences and destinations, and their expectations for accommodations with outstanding, consistent service – exactly what Aimbridge is known for – remains high. The Alliance Palace is a great example of the new investment in hospitality in the region and in Batumi, and we’re thrilled to be working with the property’s owners to help the aparthotel flourish.”

Earlier this month Accor’s Novotel Living brand announced its was making its Georgian debut, also in Batumi.
