US: Flexible housing platform Anyplace has entered the Asian market, signing partnerships with co-living operators in Singapore and Indonesia.
Anyplace targets “digital nomads” from markets such as the US, who are looking to travel to south-east Asia and has formed partnerships with lyf (Singapore), MetroResidences (Singapore), Outpost (Bali, Indonesia), and Hustlers Villa (Bali, Indonesia).
Anyplace CEO and co-founder Satoru Steve Naito said the startup is in talks with at least five other operators in Jakarta, Bali, and Singapore. It aims to have at least 10 properties in each city.
“Coliving companies are emerging everywhere as it has become a trend – not only in the US. We aim to build a global network for coliving businesses and flexible housing providers,” he said.
Anyplace focuses on mid-term stays (more than 30 days but under a year) and works with co-living spaces, hotels, and apartments to provide options for their customers.
In June 2019, it secured a US$2.5 million seed funding round from Jason Calacanis, FundersClub, UpHonest Capital, East Ventures, Keisuke Honda, Kenji Kasahara Bora Uygun and Global Brain.
