Ireland: Dublin watering hole Scruffy Murphy’s is set to be demolished to make way for a five-to six-storey aparthotel.
Developer Tim O’Connor has applied to Dublin City Council for permission to knock down the pub and build a 36-unit aparthotel above a ground-floor restaurant, bar or cafe.
The pub, which is now closed, is located close to Merrion Square and was put up for sale for around €1 million last year.</p
