UK: The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) has named Evelyn Haran, chief operating officer at PREM Group,as its incoming chair
Haran will take up the role on September 1st 2020. She has been part of ASAP’s advisory Board and treasury committee. In the new role she will be supported by incoming deputy chair Robert Alley, chief operating officer at Roomzzz Aparthotels.
Alley joined the advisory board last September and along with his step up to deputy, he will also move to the treasury committee.
James Foice, ASAP CEO, said: “Our advisory board and treasury committee are a vital support to me and the ASAP team in helping develop and guide our Association. They have helped us to refine our sector-leading accreditation product, and work to ensure our members become the first choice for anyone booking accommodation worldwide. Evelyn has been a huge part of that, as has Robert; and I am delighted they have been elected to their respective roles and will continue to support our growth, by leading our team of experts. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our outgoing chair Doug Greenwood, director of sales and marketing at Cheval Collection, and deputy chair John Wagner, founding partner, Cycas Hospitality. Their stewardship has been invaluable, as has that of the entire Advisory Board and Treasury Committee. We look forward to the coming years with a sense of solidarity and anticipation.”
Haran said: “2020 has, of course, been a dramatic year right across hospitality, globally. But serviced apartments are poised to make a faster recovery than many, as travellers start to feel confident in booking accommodation while looking for the safest option. I have very much enjoyed watching ASAP evolve, while supporting those of us operating in this growing sector. I now look forward to what the coming year may bring.”
