UK: Bureau Veritas has awarded five of Ascott’s London properties the SafeGuard Label for health, hygiene and safety procedures.

The Ascott Limited has been awarded the SafeGuard Label for four of its London-based Citadines properties and its four-star Mayfair property The Cavendish London, by testing, inspection and certification body, Bureau Veritas.

The certification confirms that the properties have the appropriate health, hygiene and safety procedures and processes in place which are in line with globally recognised best practices.

Citadines Barbican, Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden, Citadines Islington, Citadines Trafalgar Square and The Cavendish London have all been independently verified by Bureau Veritas, which has also awarded a further 30 properties across Ascott’s European portfolio with the SafeGuard Label.

The Ascott Cares Hygiene and Safety Label is a holistic programme, which has been developed by both organisations and utilises Bureau Veritas’ health, hygiene and safety expertise of more than 190 years in testing, inspection and certification.

Billy Hughes, area general manager UK, The Ascott Limited, said: “We are committed to providing a safe space for our guests, which is why we developed both the Ascott Cares commitment and brought in Bureau Veritas to independently review and certify our properties.  Guests can be reassured from the moment they book a stay at one of our properties that their health and wellbeing is our top priority and that we will continue to provide a safe haven for them and a safe working environment for our staff.”

Ascott Cares covers nine commitments, which are aligned with World Health Organization standards and local regulations, to enhance Ascott’s existing cleanliness protocols.
