Cyprus: Best Western will open an Executive Residency hotel in Larnaca in March 2020.
The venture is a partnership between Larnaca-based developer Quality Group and hotel management company SunnySeeker Hospitality. The €10 million project is a 16-storey hotel with 39 serviced apartments, spa centre, swimming pool on the fourth floor, cafeteria and three parking levels with 42 parking places.
Quality Group CEO Savvas Kakos said the Executive Residency Zenon Hotel – to be built in the heart of Larnaca – is a pioneering concept and a milestone for the town and Cyprus tourism in general: “We are offering a unique product after signing a deal with one of the biggest hotel businesses in the world, the construction will start soon and operate in 2020.”
He said there were plans to build another two apartment-style hotels in Larnaca, before branching out elsewhere in Cyprus: “We aim to raise the bar in the hospitality sector to the benefit of Larnaca and Cyprus, the town has been overlooked for so long, so we are trying to support it with long-term investments. We will continue to invest in Larnaca because we believe in it – Larnaca is the next ‘big thing’ in Cyprus,” he said.
Best Western director of sales and operations for south-east Europe Katerina Kyriakopoulou said: “We will support this project by selling the destination and the experience.”
