US: The League of American Bicyclists has awarded Casual Living Extended Stay Hotels its Silver-level Bicycle Friendly Business certification.
Casual Living, based in Algonquin, Illionois, is one of 64 businesses across the US to either receive or renew its certification.
The League is a national cycling and advocacy organisation with nearly 20,000 members. Casual Living Extended Stay Hotels joins a list of 1,250 local businesses, government agencies and Fortune 500 companies “leading the way to transform transportation, health and wellness for the betterment of U.S. workers and local communities”.
BFB requirements identify incentives, programming and amenities proven to enable and inspire more people to ride bikes.
Among those offered by Casual Living Extended Stay Hotels are “to create a culture of wellness, showcase social responsibility, demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and reducing environmental footprint, and support long-term health benefits, both physical and mental”. In addition, Casual Living Extended Stay Hotels offers secure bicycle parking for both employees and guests.
