UK: CBRE has been appointed property and estate manager for the £400m Islington Square development, which includes 108 serviced apartments.

The four-and-a-half acre mixed-use scheme, which is being delivered by a joint venture partnership between Sager Group and Cain Hoy, will contain 170,000 square feet of retail and leisure space along with 263 new homes, 108 serviced apartments and office space. Ascott’s Citadines brand will operate the serviced apartments, after this element of the project was bought by the Ascott/QIA joint venture.

“Throughout the early design stages and into the development phase of the project we have appointed best-in-class consultants who share our vision to create a leading scheme at Islington Square,” said Chris Dunn, development manager at Sager Group Islington Square.

“The team at CBRE clearly embody this, and we look forward to working closely with them over the coming months and years as the full potential is realised and we maximise Islington Square’s unique offer.”

Nick Bark, CBRE’s central London mixed-use specialist, added: “The CBRE team is extremely excited to be assisting Sager and Cain Hoy in the delivery of Islington Square. The development is truly mixed-use with an exciting retail and leisure offer, all of which means it aligns closely with the teams’ experience and capability. We are looking forward to bringing to life this new destination within Islington.”
