UK: Cheval Collection has seen a massive jump in bookings at its Edinburgh property, in line with the reopening of Scottish hospitality.

Cheval The Edinburgh Grand reported an over 60 per cent occupancy rate on the weekend between the 17th and 19th.

George Westwell, CEO of the Cheval Collection, said: “We are thrilled to see travel restrictions easing and it is a joy to begin to welcome guests to our new Edinburgh properties. It is hugely reassuring and a testament to the Cheval brand that occupancy rates at Cheval The Edinburgh Grand are now the highest they have been since lockdown started.”

The Edinburgh Grand profited from good location as its location in St Andrews Square places it 3 minutes from Waverley train station and a short walk from a tram station. The location, alongside the building’s luxurious interiors and historic exterior, has made Cheval a popular option for staycationers.

The in addition to its high-quality apartments, the Grand features unique amenities. These include an onsight cocktail club, a CaveFit gym, and the independently run Hawksmoor Restaurant and Lady Libertine.

The company has also put in place a forgiving cancellation policy, to better adapt to changing circumstances, and has introduced variety of safety measures.

Westwell added: “Of course, there are considered hygiene and safety measures in place to ensure the continued safety of our guests and our staff, from temperature checks and hands free access to each building to installed Perspex screens at reception.”

The company’s Edinburgh portfolio grew this past month, adding the Abbey Strand property near Hollyrood. The addition supplements The Grand and the Old Town Chambers locations, which were acquired in May.</p
