Australia: Developer Crown Group has won two architecture and design awards for its Arc by Crown Group, in Clarence Street, Sydney.

The Architecture MasterPrize and the Housing Industry Association’s (HIA) Best NSW Apartment Complex, 2019, were awarded at a ceremony in Sydney.

The Architecture MasterPrize celebrates the best in design excellence and innovation of architectural, interior, and landscape design.

The HIA’s awards recognise excellence in residential construction and design excellence.

Arc by Crown Group – a 25-storey building – was designed by Koichi Takada Architects, and comprises 148 residential apartments, 73 serviced apartments, and five-star resort-style amenities.

Highlights of the property include an ice-cave themed indoor swimming pool, spa, gym, and rooftop garden.

Crown Group COO Pierre Abrahamse said: “This award recognised the unique and innovative design, as well as outstanding and extraordinary workmanship, of Arc by Crown Group team, which has created a global icon by pushing the boundaries and setting a new benchmark for the architectural and design professions globally.”

“This jewel in the crown of Sydney embodies all that Crown Group stands for – it is an architectural masterpiece that changes the skyline of Sydney, inspiring others, today and for generations to come,” he added.
