UK: London serviced apartment provider Cuckooz has opened its third location, in Shoreditch, east London.

The property, on Charlotte Road, features four apartments above an existing commercial warehouse building. The lower floors are occupied by media and creative firms such as Taylor Made Media TV, Polar Black Events and Wigwam Films – typical of the kind of companies Cuckooz is looking to work with.

The one-bedroom apartments have been designed by Studionatalie, an east London design studio. They feature floor-to-ceiling windows, underfloor heating, granite kitchen worktops and oak floors.

Natalie Papageorgiadis of Studionatalie has drawn on her experience as an artist and working in set decoration for the British film industry for the apartment interiors. She said: “The Cuckooz team put a lot of love into their projects and it was great to work with them. The Shoreditch apartments are gorgeous and I was excited to work on this project in the heart of east London. I loved using the history of the building as inspiration for the colour scheme and expressing it in a contemporary way.”

Each apartment comes with a Cuckooz C-Z Guide, with recommendations for places to eat, drink and visit in the neighbourhood. Other features include Netflix and Apple TV, bathroom amenities from Bamford, high-speed Wi-Fi, and an in-house tablet which guests can use to book local experiences, extend their stay, or order food to their door.

To celebrate the launch of Cuckooz Shoreditch and in conjunction with #LondonFoodMonth, the team at Cuckooz have created a personal ‘Cuckbook’ featuring recipes from their favourite local restaurants and time-honoured classics from past guests.

Charlie Rosier, co-founder of Cuckooz, said: “Cuckooz is all about comfort and ensuring you don’t sacrifice lifestyle for your business travel. Our cookbook celebrates the best of East London’s food scene and encourages you to really enjoy your apartment to the max. Unlike a hotel room we have fully-equipped kitchens, so we are helping our guests make the most of the space and enjoy some culinary delights from the comfort of their own home.”

Cuckooz operates properties in Aldgate and Hoxton, and will be opening a fourth location, at King’s Cross, in August.</p
