Germany: Swiss operator SV Group has opened the dual-branded Marriott property in Werksviertel, Munich’s former factory district.
PLAZA Grafinger Strasse will be the central development in a new district in Munich, on a 7,340 square metre former industrial site within the city’s inner ring.
Retail space occupies most of the development’s ground floor, while separate buildings with various functions complete the block perimeter on the upper levels.
The individual buildings are occupied by the 146-key Moxy hotel, 72 Residence Inn extended-stay apartments, offices and a fitness and sports medicine building, over which a climbing centre cantilevers.
Chapman Taylor designed this part of the area’s regeneration on behalf of R&S Immobilienmanagement GmbH, a subsidiary of Rhode & Schwarz.
