Mexico: Marriott has opened the first Residence Inn brand in Mexico, in Merida.
The 151-room hotel is located in the northern area of the capital of the state of Yucatan.
It features spacious suites with separate living, working and sleeping areas, including fully equipped kitchens. Additional amenities include complimentary grocery delivery service, a 24-hour shop, a communal laundry room, and a fitness centre.
Arturo Cruz, sales director of Residence Inn Merida, said: “Merida has been recognised as one of the best cities to live in and has gradually become an economic force for the country by opening up national and international investment opportunities. The spacious suites with separate living, working, and sleeping zones and fully functional kitchens will help guests maximise their time and thrive while they travel.”
Earlier this year, Marriott announced that it would debut the Residence Inn brand in Puerto Rico in November 2021.
Marriott has a portfolio of 860 Residence Inn properties in more than 15 countries and territories.
