US: Furnished Quarters has expanded its portfolio to include short-term rental properties in Brooklyn, New York.

The company plans to add around 50 new apartments in the Downtown Brooklyn, Williamsburg, and Brooklyn Heights areas by the end of 2016. These will include studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments.

Steve Brown, CEO of Furnished Quarters, said: “Brooklyn has rapidly become one of the most coveted destinations to both live and work, which is why so many of our clients request to stay there. Once a hidden treasure, it has become the new hot spot, often overshadowing Manhattan. Along with the excitement of this dynamic borough, Brooklyn offers a wonderful residential feel and the combination is not easy to find anywhere else in New York City. Downtown Brooklyn, Williamsburg, and Brooklyn Heights offer great access to transportation, tons of shopping, and an amazing assortment of restaurants.”

City Tower, in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, is the first Brooklyn building to be added to Furnished Quarters’ property portfolio. Downtown Brooklyn, also known as Metrotech, is within walking distance to Barclays Center as well as parks, shopping, and entertainment. Amenities include a 43rd-floor rooftop deck and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.

The property also features a concierge, private event space, 18th-floor residents’ lounge, and basketball court.
