Minor appoints COO for Oaks and AVANI brands

Australia: Minor Hotels has appointed Craig Hooley as chief operating officer of its Oaks and AVANI extended stay brands.

Hooley will spearhead Oaks and AVANI‘s corporate and commercial operations in its key markets of Australia and New Zealand – where it currently has a portfolio of over 50 properties.

He will also be instrumental in developing forward growth strategies for the hotelier and providing leadership across various corporate factions to deliver continued business excellence.

Prior to joining Minor Hotels, Hooley was GM of the Shangri- La Hotel in Sydney, following on from a spell at Shangri-La International Hotel Management in Hong Kong. He has also held leadership positions with Mirvac Hotels & Resorts and InterContinental Hotels Group, both in Australia and overseas.

Hooley will be based in Minor Hotels’ regional office in Maroochydore on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. He is also currently a member of Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA).
