Denmark: NREP, the owner of the Noli Studios serviced apartment brand, has welcomed Novo Holdings as a minority shareholder.

The company said: “With the backing from Novo Holdings as minority shareholder, we will accelerate our ambitions to make real estate better, to the benefit of all our stakeholders. Novo Holdings has invested in NREP’s projects since 2018, and we have got to know them as a values-driven, long-term investor. Like us, they build businesses to solve problems, and their desire to make a positive contribution to society has been decisive for us.”

Novo Holdings is 100 per cent owned by and generates returns to the Novo Nordisk Foundation / Novo Nordisk Fonden, one of the largest private foundations in the world. It was established in 1999 and manages the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s assets, which in 2019 was worth DKK 411 billion Danish Kroner (approximately US$60 billion).

Novo Holdings A/S invests in both financial assets and in companies with application-oriented research in the life sciences. Novo Holdings A/S aims to manage the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s assets to achieve a return that the Foundation can award as grants for scientific research and humanitarian and social purposes.

“NREP remains NREP, but with Novo as a minority investor, we will now invest even more in technology, sustainability and customer-centric capabilities on our quest to make real estate better,” said NREP.
