South Korea: Oakwood Worldwide has launched Oakwood Premier Incheon, close to Seoul’s main international airport.

Scheduled to open on 23 July, the apartments are on floors 36 to 64 of South Korea’s tallest building, the 305-metre Northeast Asia Trade Tower skyscraper.

Oakwood will offer 423 apartments, all with kitchen areas. Facilities include the Oak Restaurant & Bar, a fitness centre, business centre and ballroom.

Dean Schreiber, managing director for Oakwood in Asia Pacific, said: “We are delighted to deepen our relationship with Hanmoo Convention, the owning company of both Oakwood-branded properties in South Korea, and to be planting our flag in Incheon. Strong partnerships such as these are the key to our growth as we seek to extend our footprint and bring the Oakwood brand of accommodations to more destinations.”

The property brings the total number of Oakwood-branded properties in the Asia Pacific region to 28.
