Worldwide: OBASA Hospitality has announced it has acquired Phoenix-based all-in-one software creator and services platform, IBC Hospitality Technologies (IBC).

The parent company to a collection of global hospitality brands has reached the agreement with IBC in order to help owners and operators of a full range of accommodation verticals.

IBC’s proprietary suite of products allows lodging providers to target distribution more strategically in terms of profit margin, by managing their revenue and improving their ROI through multi-channel online advertising, and launching marketing and loyalty efforts across multiple labels and platforms.

CEO and president of OBASA Hospitality, Gordon Doell, said: “OBASA Hospitality is dedicated to providing technology and services that help our global customer base either find or fill accommodations. We started in corporate housing and serviced apartments and now partner with owners and operators of every accommodation type to make growing their revenue easier.

“The addition of the IBC’s products will give our customers an enhanced degree of control in marketing their business, and IBC’s technology seamlessly integrates into the industry’s full complement of customer, revenue and distribution management systems.

“IBC’s proprietary technology and commitment to continual innovation are both impressive and unsurpassed. Our customers will benefit immensely from between 9:1 and 15:1 ROI having access to IBC’s industry-leading tools,” he added.

IBC was founded by Pamela Barnhill with the objective to give independent hoteliers cost-effective access to the same hospitality solutions that larger chains had.

The platform has since evolved to assist providers of all accommodation types, and everyone from single-property owners to multi-unit and/or multi-brand operators. Barnhill has now joined OBASA Hospitality’s Executive Team where she will be tasked with driving innovation, growth and operational efficiency across the brands and business functions.

Barnhill said: “I am excited to join and bring IBC Hospitality Technologies into the OBASA Hospitality group of companies. This brings IBC additional support and resources to further IBC’s mission of staying on top of industry trends, and then take advantage of them by implementing robust but easy to use technologies.”

The IBC technology proprietary suite of products consists of:

    • RevLogic is a customisable proprietary CRS with business intelligence and market segmentation which allows users to drive direct bookings, and easily manage rates, inventory and pictures across all channels. It also maximises distribution, revenue, advertising and metasearch marketing.
    • MetaLogic is an ROI-driven digital marketing and remarketing technology which uses metasearch to help properties compete with other larger brands and OTAs. It provides the user with full guest information to increase repeat and direct bookings.
    • RoomLogic is an efficient, customisable online booking engine which includes rental car and activity add-ons and is paired with a patent-pending loyalty programme which offers e-gift cards, cash back and/or free nights of lodging.
