US: RESIDE Worldwide has appointed Jon Wohlfert to work alongside fellow co-CEO Lee Curtis.
Wohlfert will also join the RESIDE board of directors. The company says the appointment “reunites two disruptive leaders whose core mission is to bridge the gap between housing and hospitality”.
Wohlfert brings more than 30 years of hospitality, development and leadership experience to RESIDE. He has previously worked with brands such as Residence Inn, Candlewood Suites, Summerfield Suites, Sierra Suites, BridgeStreet Global Hospitality, Extended Stay America and WaterWalk International.
“I am personally thrilled to have the chance to team up with Jon again to bring RESIDE to life and continue to grow this very special and unique brand,” said Lee Curtis. “Jon’s perspective will be invaluable as we continue to assemble the very best companies in our space and grow our property development and management groups.”
Wohlfert said: “The RESIDE mandate is to provide vetted and flexible accommodations options to global travellers no matter the destination or the duration of their stay. We will deliver this mandate by expanding our footprint via organic growth and strategic acquisitions as well as introduce innovative technologies that streamline operational processes and generate incremental revenue.”
Wohlfert continues, “The opportunity to build this new brand alongside Lee is very exciting and I look forward to the year ahead for RESIDE.”
RESIDE was formed recently by parent company Westbridge Capital, which acquired a majority share in Aboda in November 2017.</p
