US: Residence Inn Breckenridge will open next month on the Rocky Mountain ski resort’s Main Street.

The 129-suite property will feature amenities including in-room kitchens, a year-round outdoor pool and hot tub, on-site ski storage, Hearth Room lounge for après ski and 1,500-square-feet of meeting space.

The property is under the direction of general manager Scott Lypson and director of sales and marketing Pamela Brown. Both have strong roots in the Colorado area and share close ties to the Marriott brand. Lypson joined Residence Inn Breckenridge from Marriott’s Timber Lodge in South Lake Tahoe, California, where he was director of services. Before that, he held a management post with Marriott’s StreamSide in Vail, Colorado.

Brown joins Residence Inn Breckenridge from a five-year stint at Robert Half, an international staffing firm. Her move to Breckenridge with Residence Inn marks a return to the Marriott portfolio. Previously, Brown helped launch destination sales efforts at Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort, Golf Club and Spa in Florida, where she was responsible for corporate and association group business and business development. Her career path has also included posts with Desert Springs, J.W. Marriott Resort and Spa in Palm Desert, California, and Fort Collins Marriott in Fort Collins, Colorado.
