US: The 87-key Residence Inn by Marriott Portland-Vancouver is set to open on November 7th.
The property is at 411 S.E. 123rd Avenue in the Portland suburb of Vancouver. Of the 87 units, 72 are studios and 15 are one-bedroom suites.
It is the first hotel from Evergreen Hospitality, a Battle Ground company headed by chairman and CEO Alkesh Patel. The group has plans for building and managing nine more hotels in Vancouver and Portland.
“Vancouver is growing,” said Patel. “We want to be here before the growth.” Patel said he anticipates the majority of customers will be business people looking to stay for more than five nights.
The Residence Inn will employ around 25 people, with additional seasonal hires during busier times of the year, according to GM Christine Santos.
