UK: A Scottish landlord on the remote Isle of Skye is reaching out to those worried about the coronavirus with a unique offering.
Skye Serviced Apartments have added isolation rentals to their current array of services.
The service, which charges £100-per-person-per-night, offers guests full serviced apartment styled amenities. This includes weekly towel/linen changes, full cleaning kit, weekly food shopping for the upfront fee.
The property is run by ex-military man Ben Greer, who believes his experience working in the RAF in Afghanistan prepares him for handling the virus. He said to The Herald: “My team are in the process of being trained in Personal Protective Equipment and cleaning processes so as to minimise the risk of transmission of Covid-19.”
Currently those who book are required to undergo testing for the virus before being allowed inside the properties. The property advises those worried to get to a remote location before a nationwide lockdown comes through.
The coronavirus has affected the serviced apartments industry already, causing the closure of Staycity’s Birmingham property. For more info, read Max Thorne’s analysis of how the industry can tackle the virus. </p
