US: Furnished Quarters has appointed Derek Stumpfhauser as general manager of its Q&A Residential Hotel in Manhattan.
Stumpfhauser has spent ten years in the hospitality industry, starting out in guest service roles and later fulfilling front office and manager positions. His most recent title was hotel manager for Four Points Midtown Times Square.
“Derek joins us at a time when more and more hotels are trending toward residential, apartment-like accommodations, making it ever crucial for Q&A Hotel to remain ahead of the curve,” said Steve Brown, CEO of Q&A Residential Hotel. “We’re excited to leverage his hospitality expertise and business savvy to take the hotel even further.”
As Q&A’s GM, Stumpfhauser will be tasked with continuing to drive demand to what is described as “a profitable, dynamic, expanding hotel”. In mid-2017, the property added organic grocery store and gourmet food hall City Acres Market to its list of amenities, which also includes fitness and wellness centre La Palestra and Australian café Black Fox Coffee Co.
The property recently announced a five per cent cash back program for guests who book direct, powered by The Guestbook.</p
