US: Sycamore Investment Group is about to begin construction on a Home2 Suites by Hilton in Viera, Florida.

The four-storey extended-stay hotel will have 118 suites, and will be located across the street from The Avenue Viera, adjacent to a Fairfield Inn and Suites, also developed by Sycamore.

Sycamore executive vice president Ronak Jasani said the Home2 Suites is set to open in the second quarter of 2020.

A release from Sycamore also noted that the company owns and operates the Hampton Inn, located at 130 Sheriff Drive in Viera. It will feature a patio and pool area along with outdoor seating and grills. Additionally, the hotel will offer a free breakfast, internet access and a fitness centre.

Jasani said: “Home2 Suites is the only extended stay hotel in the market that offers suites with cooking facilities so guests can grill outside or prepare something in their room if they don’t want to go out. There’s tons of choices across the street to eat and drink if they wish to go out. Each suite is spacious, so it’s perfect for a family with kids or guests staying long term who wish to have more space. We do have an eatery downstairs that serves breakfast. We’ll also have a suite shop that sells alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.”

Todd Pokrywa, president of the Viera Company, said: “Last year, we were pleased to see the first elements of the mixed use Viera Town Center open in the heart of Viera. With each new component, Viera Town Center makes another step in the process of becoming the essential gathering place that provides high-quality lodging, food and entertainment in a convenient and walkable area. The Viera Company has allowed the Viera Town Center to grow organically by first creating the critical mass of residents who will drive demand for the planned restaurants and retail components that are critical to its success.”</p
