US: A former Candlewood Suites in Katy, Texas, has been converted into an Extended Stay America property.

An affiliate of Provident Realty Advisors owns the 102-room hotel at 19998 Park Row Dr. as part of a franchise agreement with Extended Stay America.

As part of the conversion, the hotel, which opened in 2007, will undergo a renovation which will include upgrades to the lobby, a barbecue area, and onsite parking. It will also offer fitness, laundry and meeting rooms. The hotel is under management by Aimbridge Hospitality.

The conversion is the second of five hotels that Provident committed to build or convert, as part of a 16-property hotel acquisition from late 2018. Earlier in 2019, the Dallas developer and investor converted a 115-key Candlewood Suites at 1500 N. Sam Houston Pkwy E. into the Extended Stay America Houston IAH Airport hotel.
