Spain: Following the announcement of five European locations throughout 2022 and 2023, The Hoxton in Barcelona will debut the brand’s latest room category which caters to long stay guests.

Opening in spring 2022, The Hoxton Barcelona will introduce a new ‘Homey’ category which comprises larger rooms, a lounge space as well as a kitchenette. It’s a debut concept for The Hoxton brand.

All together, the property will include 240 rooms, a ground floor restaurant, bar and terrace, a rooftop pool and events space in the basement. The Hoxton’s signature Apartment, a multi-functional meeting and events space, will also be available.

The hotel will be located in the Poblenou neighbourhood, a traditionally Catalan area, a short walk from the Sagrada Familia and the beach.

Other upcoming European locations for The Hoxton include Berlin and Brussels (summer 2022), Shepherd’s Bush in London (winter 2022) and Vienna (spring 2023).

Commenting on the announcement, CEO and founder Sharan Pasricha said: “It’s been an incredibly difficult time for everyone, especially those in hospitality, and for all of those who, like us, love to travel and discover new places. Community has never felt more important, and we look forward to sharing Hoxton with more people in some of our favourite cities in Europe. Our exciting plans for the next few years reflect our optimism for the bounceback of travel and commitment to the industry we love. We can’t wait to expand our portfolio and open our doors in these great cities, ready for when city breaks and international travel is back and thriving.”

The Hoxton first opened in Holborn, London in 2014. The brand now has locations in Amsterdam, Paris, Williamsburg, Portland, Chicago, and downtown LA. Recently, The Hoxton opened its tenth property in Rome.
