UK: The TAS Alliance today announced it is the first serviced apartment alliance with 100% of its global membership fully compliant in their local markets’ HSSE regulations.

The membership, which represents more than 95,000 units, meets the Health, Safety, Security and Environmental regulations for corporate housing and serviced apartments as advised by ASAP and ISAAP.

The announcement was made at a TAS Alliance meeting held today in Chancery Lane, London. The meeting covered key agenda points put together by Serviced Apartment News especially for The TAS Alliance. Topics included disrupters, mergers and acquisitions, key aparthotel brands entering the EMEA space, technology and the impact of GDPR data protection regulations coming onto the landscape in 2018.

Shabina Awan, director of alliances and partnerships for The Apartment Service, said: “Booking into TAS Alliance member properties gives our global membership the confidence to know that their travellers and guests are in safe hands across all locations.”

Steve Corner, director for A Space in the City and one of the first members to join the TAS alliance four years ago, said: “Being a TAS Alliance member for four years has resulted in an ever-increasing volume of stock being available across the world which we know has reached all required criteria for A Space in the City and our customers to confidently book into.”

Claire Vincent, director of sales for Roomspace said: “My clients who book globally from their local offices in Spain, Portugal and the UK all have HSSE at the top of their agenda – knowing that we can book with confidence through The TAS Alliance, and that our fellow members have gone through the same checks that we have in Roomspace, ensures that when we book globally into our member properties, we are reassured that the corporate buyer and the traveller are comfortable, safe and secure.”

The current TAS Alliance members include Roomspace, A Space in the City, Week2Week, Staying Cool, ESA, Shortstay MK, The Edinburgh Collection, CitySuites, Portfolio Apartments, BBF, Vision Apartments, Corporate Housing Factory, P and O Apartments, Space Design, Corporate Housing Bureau, AKA, The Blueground, Quest Apartment Hotels, Churchill Living, and The Ascott Limited.

Closing the meeting, Jo Layton, MD group commercial sales for The Apartment Service and The TAS Alliance thanked all members for their contribution and commitment to HSSE globally and looked forward to continuing the drive for excellent, professionally managed, safe and secure serviced apartments across all regions.</p
