Thailand: ONYX Hospitality Group has signed a management agreement to operate Shama Hub Ladprao, a serviced apartment development in Bangkok, as it continues to expand its extended-stay portfolio across Asia.

The agreement was signed on 22 January 2026 at Amari Bangkok and formalises ONYX Hospitality Group’s appointment to manage the property in Ladprao, a well-connected urban district in the Thai capital.

Shama Hub Ladprao is the second serviced apartment project awarded to ONYX Hospitality Group by the same owner, following the operational performance of Shama Yen Akat, which has been managed by the group for the past five years.

The development will be the first Shama Hub property in Thailand and the third globally. The Shama Hub brand focuses on compact serviced apartments designed for urban living.

The property will include shared facilities such as co-working areas and social spaces and is positioned to serve professionals seeking long-stay accommodation with access to transport links.

The signing supports ONYX Hospitality Group’s strategy to grow its presence in the long-stay and extended-stay segment, driven by demand from business travellers.

The Shama brand operates across three sub-brands: Shama Luxe, Shama and Shama Hub, allowing ONYX Hospitality Group to target different market segments across Asia.

As of January 2026, the Shama portfolio comprises 23 operating properties and pipeline projects across Thailand, Greater China, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

  • ONYX Hospitality Group has signed a management agreement for Shama Hub Ladprao in Bangkok.
