LiveStay opens 100-key Punthill aparthotel in North Melbourne

Australia: LiveStay has opened Punthill Epping, a 100-room aparthotel located within the New Epping development in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

The building is located at 25 Greengate Way, which is part of the $2 billion New Epping precinct being developed by Riverlee. The mixed-use development will feature around 2,000 residential homes, 110,000 square metres of commercial and retail use, healthcare facilities and community infrastructure.

Construction on Punthill Epping began last year. It offers a mix of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, including accessible and interconnecting room options. Each apartment includes a kitchen, smart televisions and laundry facilities.

On-site amenities include meeting and conference facilities, a gym, reception area, car parking, and guest pantry. A restaurant is also planned for the property.

Riverlee development director David Lee said the aparthotel is an important addition to the broader New Epping precinct.

Zed Sanjana, chief executive officer of LiveStay, said: “Melbourne’s northern growth corridor has experienced enormous transformation over recent years, yet the supply of high-quality apartment hotel accommodation has not kept pace with demand.

“We look very carefully at locations where long-term population growth, infrastructure investment and business activity are converging. New Epping and the surrounding northern growth corridor is one of the clearest examples of that anywhere in Victoria right now,” he added.

Earlier this year, LiveStay launched as the umbrella parent company of Veriu Hotels & Suites, Punthill Apartment Hotels and UKO.
