ASIA: Situ has appointed a senior supply manager in Bangalore for its APAC expansion.
Monika Meel has been appointed as a senior supply manager based in Bangalore and has already more than one hundred new supplier relationships in progress.
Previously a sourcing manager at Acomodeo, Monika has vast experience in the complexities of the APAC market, understanding market location nuances, variations in accommodation models, and how to build relationships with both global hospitality chains and smaller independent operators.
Meel said: “It’s very exciting to be working with Situ, a company that clearly has so much ambition and a great reputation for being a business that is good to work with. APAC accommodation operators are keen to connect and become part of the established Situ global supply chain.”
As reported yesterday by SAN, Situ is now working closely with STAAH, a leading channel and distribution management companies in the travel industry. STAAH’s coverage in the APAC region offers more than 16,000 suppliers from all regions with accommodation, including serviced apartments, hotels, and holiday rentals.
Managing director of Situ, Phil Stapleton, said: “Expansion in the APAC region has been on our radar for a while. Many of our clients have requirements in the area, and we are receiving new requests daily. Having Monika on the ground and working with STAAH’s innovative and effortless integration technology is significantly opening up APAC for our clients”.
Many locations across APAC are now bookable live on Situ’s website.
