UK: CAP Worldwide has signed a strategic partnership with the Business Travel Association (BTA).

Under the terms of the partnership CAP Worldwide will provide BTA members and other key stakeholders access to more than 1.3 million extended-stay providers and serviced apartments globally, accessed through simple and integrated technology.

The accommodation will be accessed through an exclusive microsite being developed – the BTA Long Stay Programme – which will deliver “an easy and enhanced booking experience to all members”. All apartments and accommodation booked through the programme are verified to meet the required safe and secure, COVID-19 clean and local legal requirements.

Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA, said: “In light of the recent Coronavirus pandemic, it is crucial the travel sector unites to deliver shared objectives and goals. Our new and unique partnership with CAP Worldwide will give the BTA’s members access to a global inventory of Covid-secure accommodation, enabling them to enhance and broaden their offering to UK business travellers.”

CAP’s senior team will also ensure that The BTA and its members have access to its consultancy services and current information on serviced accommodation industry trends, insights, market updates, white papers, education, pricing and best practice.

Jo Layton, CEO of CAP Worldwide, said: “Working in partnership with The BTA community has been a goal since the launch of CAP Worldwide. I have great respect for the work The BTA does every day to support the travel sector and the membership they represent. At CAP, we are committed to delivering to The BTA community: consistent, cost effective, secure, sustainable and continually evolving global extended-stay solutions. CAP will ensure travellers experience a caring service and safe solutions through a blended integration of our people and our technology.”

“In this highly challenging year, the CAP team has been working solidly with our valued clients, our respected TMCs and our relocation management companies who continued to house their guests in serviced apartments or alternative accommodation during this unprecedented period across the globe and especially in the UK. Helping to house the key workers, who have had to shield their families and face the pandemic on the front line, has been a true honour for all of us at CAP. We thank all our suppliers and brand partners for being so accommodating, flexible, caring and responsive to us and our clients, 24/7,” she added.

“We are very much looking forward to working closely with the amazing team at the BTA and to having the opportunity to bring our tried and trusted services, education, collaboration and support in the extended stay space to the membership.”</p
