UK: Homelike, an online platform for mid- to long-stay accommodation, has appointed a business development manager and VP of product and technology.

Vincenzo Marino has joined Homelike as the firm’s first UK-based business development manager, responsible for growing Homelike’s B2B business in the UK and Ireland. He is tasked with capitalising on the company’s existing business, while introducing new clients via his network.

He brings extensive experience in the travel, real estate and proptech sector. Prior to joining Homelike, he worked at BCD Travel, Winkworth, Fly Now Pay Later and VDash where he “developed a holistic understanding of the key challenges corporates and business travellers face when it comes to mid- to long-stay accommodation”.

“Homelike combines two of my biggest passions, travel and real estate. I’m delighted to be part of this talented team as we grow and expand the company,” said Marino.

Also joining Ioannis Papadopoulos, vice president of product and technology. He is responsible for “spearheading the product, tech and data team to continue to build and develop a product that is both user friendly and will ensure Homelike can continue to scale upwards”.

Prior to Homelike, he spent more than nine years in various product leadership roles at Trivago, helping the company grow from 80 to 1,500 people.

“Joining Homelike at this stage in the company journey is a really exciting time for product development. With digital transactions now commonplace, especially for property rental, it opens up more opportunity to innovate the property sector and business travel. This is a fantastic role within a driven team dedicated to making home to homelike experiences accessible,” said Papadopoulos.

Homelike currently has more than 65,000 furnished apartments across 450 European cities on its platform.</p
