UK: Marlin Apartments is offering travellers access to 1Gig broadband (1,000Mbps) – the fastest broadband speeds in the UK, powered by provider Hyperoptic.

The service is currently available across three of Marlin’s sites in London – Empire Square (London Bridge), Canary Wharf and Queen Street (St Paul’s).  All travellers will have access to free broadband, with the option to upgrade to 100Meg and 1Gig true fibre, symmetrical broadband, tailored to the length of the customer’s stay. Customers have the option to upgrade their service on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and can reuse their service over multiple stays, irrespective of which Marlin apartment they are visiting.

Susan Cully, managing director at Marlin Apartments said: “London is the most mature serviced apartment market in Europe and, according to Savills, it is growing at a rate of 12.7%.  Here at Marlin we are always looking at ways we can delight customers and stay ahead of the competition.”

“Offering the best-in-class connectivity was a natural move for us – it’s our job to give travellers what they need to enjoy their stay to the full. Broadband is now essential factor that impacts the quality of a travellers stay. By working with Hyperoptic to provide the fastest broadband in the UK, we are confident that we are giving customers another reason to recommend and return to our industry leading apartments,” she added.

Darren Shenkin, commercial director at Hyperoptic, said: “The Hyperoptic proposition is perfectly aligned to the serviced apartment market. Today’s discerning traveller expects high-speed broadband to be a given – a poor broadband experience can make the difference between whether they return or choose to go elsewhere. With our true fibre approach, bringing fibre directly into a building, travellers can be guaranteed a hyper-fast, reliable experience – every time they stay in a Marlin apartment.”
