UK: UK-based serviced apartment operator Flying Butler Apartments, has announced the launch of its new Build-to-Rent brand, Mura Living.
The first property, The Hamilton Apartments, in Hemel Hempstead offers 88 one and two-bed apartments.
There are plans for a further 5,000 units across the UK in the next five years.
The concept behind build to rent is to offer a rental experience with apartment living. The Hemel Hempstead property will feature communal spaces, including a gym and wellness centre with a 24/7 concierge service and maintenance services.
Mura Living will have flexible short term leases.
Dominic Sherry, chief executive officer, Flying Butler Apartments said: “We are very excited to move in to the BTR space with the launch of our new Mura Living brand. We see a huge opportunity to grow Mura Living in the UK as a perfect complement to our Flying Butler brand, in a pioneering mixed-use serviced apartment and BTR capacity. Hemel Hempstead is our first Mura Living location in the UK and we are set to expand, acquire and operate further sites across the UK. Expectations of today’s renters are high and with our 25 years’ experience in residential services, we are well-positioned to deliver a cohesive, quality rental service under the Mura Living brand.”
Dominic Sherry last week spoke at the Urban Living Festival about the new brand, and Flying Butler Apartments added two more London locations to its serviced apartment portfolio earlier this year.
