AUSTRALIA: Karidis Corporation has started on the final stages of the Avista Glenelg lifestyle village, which includes 56 serviced apartments.
The AUS$39 million project known as Avista Glenelg is just two streets back from Glenelg beach in Adelaide and will feature 14 two and three-bed retirement apartments and 56 serviced apartments.
The new building will feature a community space with a kitchen, dining and entertaining areas for residents and guests. There will also be a basement car park.
Karidis Corporation’s chief executive Peter Karidis said: “The strong demand for lifestyle villages in such a key location near a wide range of amenities has inspired our company to pursue opportunities for new projects.”
Karidis Corporation will own and manage the 56 serviced apartments on levels 1-3 of the building and all residents in Avista Glenelg can use a gym, a heated indoor pool and spa.
The final stage of the project is expected to be completed by early next year.
Adelaide recently had an aparthotel approved for the centre of the city.
