UK: The fittings, furnishings and interiors of Ascott Mayfair are to be sold by auction, following the property’s closure at the end of August.

The lease for the 56-unit property, on Hill Street in London’s Mayfair, will terminate on August 31 2016. Owner Caudwell Collection Ltd will then redevelop the 1930s Art Deco building.

The three-day auction, featuring 2,000 lots, will take place at the property between the 1st to the 3rd September 2016, commencing at 10.00am each day; internet bidding will be enabled to allow online bidders to participate in the auction.

The auction sale includes the entire contents of the serviced apartments, including furnishings, televisions, artwork, furniture, kitchen appliances and beds.

In addition to the apartments’ furnishings that are being sold, the auction will feature equipment, fixtures and fittings from the fitness centre, terrace and garden, commercial kitchen equipment along with restaurant furniture and the furnishings within the lobby lounge.
