UK: Developer Modo Bloc has continued to grow its extended stay portfolio with plans for a nine-key aparthotel in Gateshead.
The developer, which is based in Newcastle, has been busy with its aparthotel plans over the last few months.
Causeway Lofts (pictured), will offer nine apartments with separate sleeping and living areas including fully equipped kitchens.
The aparthotel plans have been submitted to Gateshead Council and are still in the planning process.
Also by Modo Bloc, Springfield Lofts, which is currently under construction, will offer 12 apartments.
Known as Springfield Park apartments, the property will be managed by Your Lofts, which is a subsidiary of developers Modo Bloc and which also runs Chelmsford Lofts.
Last week SAN reported on the developer’s plan to build 28 apartments on Foundry Lane, Ouseburn in Newcastle. The £8.5m project will offer an aparthotel with a range of accommodation from one, two and three bed apartments, as well as one four-bed apartment.
Following that news article George Jenkins, managing director of Modo Bloc, contacted SAN to explain the site earmarked for another aparthotel, known as Back Malings, is currently dormant.
