The Netherlands: IHG Hotels & Resorts and Cycas Hospitality have opened the 99-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Deventer, the Netherlands.

As part of a lease agreement with Bruil Bouw, Cycas will operate the property which offers 83 Holiday Inn guest rooms ad 16 fully equipped suites. All 99 rooms feature the Holiday Inn Next Generation design which includes blackout curtains, high quality bedding, a power shower and more.

Other in-room amenities include flexible workspace, a flat screen TV with casting capabilities, and ergonomic chairs. The suites come with an additional kitchenette, living space and work area.

Elsewhere in the hotel, the brand’s Next Gen design has shaped the lobby which now offers tables with integrated power. A 24-hour reception with express check-in/out, a Grab & Go pantry, and a car park completes the offering.

Mario Maxeiner, managing director of Northern Europe at IHG, said: ‘We are incredibly proud to continue our great partnership with Cycas as they open another extraordinary IHG-branded hotel – the much-anticipated Holiday Inn Express & Suites Deventer. We are proud to open the first Holiday Inn Express with a ‘suites’ offering in the Netherlands with Cycas – a testament to our long-standing partnership.”

Khalid Gaddur, general manager at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Deventer, said “Opening the first Holiday Inn Express in Deventer, and bringing the ‘suites’ concept to The Netherlands, is an incredibly exciting project to be part of. The brand champions simple, smart travel by providing a launch pad for guests to make their next connection, whether for business or leisure, and myself and the team look forward to creating memorable experiences for visitors to Deventer.”

Cycas will also be opening the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Sion, Switzerland in autumn 2024.
