UK: Real estate platform AENDRE Group, which will develop lifestyle aparthotel brands, has expanded its team and appointed members to its advisory board.
Gary Jones takes the role of equity director – finance and operations at AENDRE. He brings more than 30 years of commercial and financial experience in the real estate sector to the role, and joins from Delin Property where he oversaw finance, legal, risk and compliance as CFO.
AENDRE has also hired Carina Cimpean as advisor from Goldman Sachs, and Christian Suarez as senior investment analyst from Sonder.
On its advisory board, the group has appointed Edward Chang, founder and president of London-based consulting firm Abbey Hotel Advisors, and Dave Barry, president and CEO of US-based residential living brand Urby.
Eric Jafari, co-founder and managing director of AENDRE, said: “I’ve been a firm believer that a vision is only as deliverable as the people that make up the team. We are privileged to have attracted such a strong team at an early stage. Gary brings with him a long track record of experience ranging from tax, operations, legal, and more, and will be a fantastic equity director. The appointments of Christian and Carina put us in a unique position to capitalise on the current landscape with their experience and hunger.”
Chris Strong, AENDRE’s co-founder, added: “The modern urban consumer’s needs have evolved and from our perspective, the lifestyle sector hasn’t kept up. We believe that these consumers’ needs are not being met. Our mission is to leverage our collective lifestyle/extended stay experience to deliver a new form of hospitality experience – one that arguably doesn’t exist. We have a strong team in place to deliver this vision.”
The appointments follow the launch of AENDRE in June, which saw the group secure backing from private equity firm JuneX Capital Partners and co-investor New End.
