UK: Property developer and operator The Nurtur Group is set to launch City Studios Preston, its first serviced apartment property in the north of England, later this month.

Located on North Road in the centre of the city, the new development will offer 133 fully-furnished studio and one-bedroom suites across five floors, incorporating the historic Unicorn pub site.

Originally slated for completion in July 2024, the project encountered unexpected building issues that led to a delay in the opening.

Designed for both short and medium-term stays, each studio features an ensuite bathroom, double bed, a fully functional kitchen with an oven and induction hobs, a dining area with a refrigerator, and a lounge space with a smart TV.

In addition to the private accommodations, City Studios will offer a range of amenities including self-service laundry facilities, conference rooms equipped with a barista coffee machine, and break-out spaces for relaxation as well as an external courtyard.

Mark Robinson, managing director of The Nurtur Group said: “We are incredibly excited for the opening of City Studios in Preston following the unprecedented construction obstacles. This city is thriving, and our new serviced apartments will plug the gap for business and leisure guests alike looking for a fusion of quality hotel and spacious apartment living.”

Studios will be available to book from April 14th.

The Nurtur Group oversees several brands within its property portfolio: Nurtur Student Living, Warehouse Students, FraserMorgan, and City Studios.
