US: Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened Hyatt Studios Huntsville, bringing its new upper-midscale extended-stay brand to Huntsville, Alabama.

Hyatt Studios Huntsville features 120 studio-style suites designed for longer stays, with apartment-style layouts and fully equipped kitchens. The brand is positioned towards guests seeking a home-like experience, including corporate, government and project-based travellers.

The opening marks the second Hyatt Studios property to launch, following the debut of the brand’s first location in Mobile, Alabama earlier this year. The Huntsville development forms part of Hyatt’s strategic collaboration with developer 3H Group.

The property is located close to Huntsville International Airport and sits near major employment hubs such as Redstone Arsenal, Cummings Research Park and NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Hyatt said the location supports demand from the city’s growing aerospace, defence and technology sectors.

Hyatt Studios operates within Hyatt’s Essentials Portfolio of select-service brands and is focused on the upper-midscale extended-stay segment. In addition to in-room kitchens and workspaces, the Huntsville property offers shared amenities including fitness facilities, self-service laundry, a 24-hour market and limited meeting space for small groups.

Hyatt said the opening reflects continued progress in the rollout of the Hyatt Studios brand as the company expands its extended-stay footprint across high-growth US markets.
