UK: Cheval Collection will operate a property in Glasgow, owned by 141WRS Ltd, under the Cheval Maison brand.

The 70 apartment development will offer studios, and one and two-bed apartments, and will open in 2024.

Facilities will include a restaurant and bar, gym and a rooftop terrace.

Located at 141 West Regent Street the Glasgow site will be the fifth property in Scotland for the Cheval Collection.

Simon Mullen, managing director, 141WRS Ltd, the site’s owners, said: “Cheval Collection’s decades of experience in serviced apartments made it the obvious choice for this development, which we hope will reinvigorate and further strengthen this corner of the city centre. We expect the property to appeal to the local community, especially with its restaurant and bar on the ground floor.”

John Philipson, chief operating officer for Cheval Collection, said: “Our continued growth of the portfolio reinforces our ambition to take on new management contracts both in the domestic and overseas markets. The past two years have underscored the appetite for flexible accommodation where guests can live their lives, whether travelling for business or leisure, on a short or long stay basis.”

Daniel Johansson, director of development and acquisitions, Cheval Collection added: “We are thrilled to be working with 141WRS Ltd as we share the same vision and potential for the property. Demand continues to build for serviced apartments with experienced operators. We are talking to a number of investors and developers as we continue our expansion across dynamic cities around the world.”

Other Cheval Maison signings include Lexham Gardens by Cheval Maison in London which opened last year, and Cheval Maison Frankfurt with 181 apartments, which is due to open next year.

The Cheval Maison at 141 West Regent Street, Glasgow, joins the recently announced MY Locanda Glasgow, which is also due to open in 2024.
