Japan: MIMARU, the aparthotel brand for groups and families, has opened a property near Namba Station in Osaka, operated by Cosmos Hotel Management Co., Ltd.

The property features 68 apartment-style guestrooms, with half accommodating up to six guests and half up to four.

Every room includes a kitchen, dining area and in-room washer-dryer. The Sky Garden Three-Bedroom Suite is the property’s largest accommodation, featuring a 100-square-meter apartment for six guests. It includes six single beds, three washbasins, two toilets, a bathroom, a separate shower room and a private terrace.

“The larger the group, the more practical challenges emerge – from luggage and laundry to getting ready and sharing space,” said Mao Mochizuki, international PR for Cosmos Hotel Management. “Drawing on our experience welcoming larger families, we looked beyond bed count to how several people actually use an apartment throughout the day. Families need the freedom to step back and come together within the same apartment. For a larger family, having that choice can be a true luxury.”
