UK: Developer Salboy has submitted its plans for a 44-key aparthotel in Newquay, which is part of a larger mixed use development.
The development will incorporate the current Narrowcliff Hotel, Hotel Bristol and several residential properties and feature a 44-room aparthotel, 180 residential apartments and shops and cafes.
The proposed aparthotel is a five storey building on Ulalia Road. The main entrance to the hotel will be visible on the approach from the town and train station and will have a cafe and public spaces in the reception area.
The aparthotel will offer studio accommodation and each apartment will contain a mezzanine bed space with bathroom, storage and kitchen space underneath.
There will also be a gym for guests at the aparthotel and 30 car parking spaces.
The plans are currently under consideration by Cornwall Council.
Last month we reported the news of Beach Retreats acquiring a hotel for its lifestyle aparthotel brand on the Cornwall coast.
