UK: Serviced apartment group Cheval Collection has named Ian James as general manager of two of its London sites.

James joins Cheval from The Fellows House, Curio Collection by Hilton in Cambridge. Prior to this, he has also worked across a number of properties in Hilton’s UK portfolio over the course of a decade.

In his new role with Cheval, James will oversee Cheval Gloucester Park and Lexham Gardens by Cheval Maison. His appointment comes as Cheval targets 1,000 units with further properties due to be announced this year.

John Philipson, COO of Cheval Collection, said: “We are excited to welcome Ian to these two exceptional properties, bringing with him great depth of experience. His passion for delivering the highest standards, coupled with his dedication to fostering a collaborative team environment, makes him an ideal leader for our properties.”

Cheval Collection currently operates nine locations in London, with Lexham Gardens by Cheval Maison the most recent to open in 2021.

The opening of Cheval Maison – Expo City Dubai in March this year will take Cheval Collection to more 950 units, joining Cheval Maison – The Palm Dubai in the emirate.

Elsewhere in the Middle East, the company is also due to make its debut in Saudi Arabia with the launch of Cheval Ladun Living in Riyadh in 2027.
