UK: Rushcliffe Borough Council is looking for a new tenant to take over the lease of the aparthotel at Bridgford Hall in Nottingham.
The Grade II-listed building was bought by the council in 1923. The ground floor is leased by Nottinghamshire City Council and operated as West Bridgford Registry office.
In 2017, a £2.3 million renovation saw the creation of seven aparthotel rooms to allow weddings guests stay overnight.
It was operated by Birchover Residences which leased the apartments from the council, though the company has since gone into liquidation.
Rushcliffe Borough Council with the support of Christie & Co have begun an operator search for the apartments.
A Rushcliffe Borough Council spokesperson said: “Birchover Residences recently went into administration with the aparthotel area of the building returning to us in May this year, and is being currently marketed by leisure specialists Christie & Co. There is no impact on the registrars which remains open as usual.
“Significant interest is being generated, and we continue working with Christie & Co to acquire a strong tenant to operate the aparthotel going forward and will provide further updates when necessary.”
The lease is available to rent from £70,000 a year.
