Roami opens Century Plaza in Minneapolis

US: Hospitality brand Roami has opened a 146-unit aparthotel in downtown Minneapolis, housed in the original Miller Vocational High School.

Located directly across from the Minneapolis Convention Center, the aparthotel has been developed by Swervo Development Corporation. It has soft launched with a full opening planned for early summer 2026. 

Originally constructed in 1932 as Miller Vocational High School, Century Plaza later served as office space and, from 1996 to 2017, as Hennepin County’s downtown human services hub.

Now repositioned as Roami at Century Plaza, it offers 146 apartments, a breakfast area, fitness centre, yoga room, pickleball court, a conference room, and a fifth-floor outdoor deck and event space opening later in the summer.

Roami at Century Plaza joins Roami at The Fitz in St. Paul, also located in the city.

Earlier this year, Roami was acquired by CozySuites.
