OYO and Sunday parent company rebrands as PRISM

UK: Oravel Stays Limited, the parent company of OYO and Studio 6, has rebranded as PRISM to represent its growing global portfolio and premium hospitality focus.

Founded in 2012 by Ritesh Agarwal, OYO started as a budget travel-tech brand in India. The company now serves more than 100 million customers across more than 35 countries.

PRISM will act as the corporate parent brand, uniting a diversified ecosystem that includes OYO, Sunday Hotels, Motel 6, Palette, Studio 6, Belvilla, DanCenter, CheckMyGuest, and Studio Prestige.

The company also provides AI-driven technology tools and data science platforms to optimise operations and partner performance globally.

Ritesh Agarwal, founder and group CEO of PRISM said: “The transition to PRISM marks the establishment of a future-ready corporate architecture designed to align our expanding portfolio with our long-term vision.”

OYO plans to increase its four and five-star UK portfolio from 20 to 50 hotels by the end of 2026, supported by a £50 million investment.

Sunday Hotels is expanding in the UK too, having debuted in 2024 with the Lansbury Heritage Hotel in London. Recent openings include hotels in Cardiff, Warwick, Dorking, Staines, Exeter, and Winchester.
