UK: Dublin-based aparthotel operator Staycity Group has opened its boutique lifestyle aparthotel brand, Wilde, in the centre of Cambridge.
The 227-room aparthotel, Wilde’s debut in the city, offers a mix of studio and one-bedroom apartments that can accommodate up to four guests.
Each apartment is equipped with a fully fitted kitchenette and has space to dine, relax, or work. Twenty-two of the apartments are fully accessible, and guests have access to a gym, laundry room, and a ground-floor communal space that includes co-working zones and a lounge area.
The ground floor also features an all-day café bar serving dishes and drinks made with locally sourced ingredients. The aparthotel also features a landscaped outdoor terrace and a food shop offering artisanal foods and beverages.
Interiors have been designed by London-based firm Thurstan and the walls feature a curated art collection of Cambridge-based artists.
Developed by Marick Real Estate, the property emphasises sustainability through the use of high-performance construction materials, air source heat pump technology, 56 solar panels, and a rainfall harvesting system.
Each apartment is equipped with Water2 filtration systems, delivering clean, microplastic-free drinking water. Additional eco-conscious features include pollinator-friendly planting, bat and bird boxes, and a bee hotel.
